State Accountability Ratings
The Texas Education Agency released its annual district and school ratings in August, 2008. Plano ISD rated “exemplary” on 18 out of 25 academic indicators, “recognized” on five indicators and “academically acceptable” on two.
Accountability ratings are based on student performance on state tests, dropout rates and high school completion rates.
Plano ISD improved in 20 out of 25 indicators for 2008, with 12 of those indicators already in the “exemplary range” where incremental improvement is most difficult. 28 campuses earned “exemplary” ratings.
