Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)
“Before I got into AVID, I knew I wanted to be a doctor, but I just didn’t know how I would get there. Now that I have been in AVID for three years, I understand that I am on my way. I will be the first in my family to attend college, and I plan to lead my sister in the same steps. I am ready to show my family and anyone who didn’t believe in me that I can do it.”
