District & Campus Accountability
and Performance Reports
Texas Education Code §39.053 requires each district's board
of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the TAPR (Texas Academic Performance Report) report;
campus performance objectives; a report of violent or criminal incidents;
and, information received under Texas Education Code §51.403(e)
from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
House Bill 5 of the 83rd Texas Legislative Session included a local evaluation requirement that is referred to as the School District Evaluation of Performance in Community and Student Engagement/Compliance. The statute requires each district to evaluate and designate a performance rating for the district and each of its campuses based on criteria set by a local committee (TEC 39.0545).
Community and Student Engagement Accountability System (CSEAS)
Due to changes in legislation, the performance report formerly known as the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) is now the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR).
