k. June Board Meeting Rescheduled for June 17, 2008 and Reorganization of Board of Trustees Officers

Description:

Board policy (BDAA Legal) stipulates that the Board of Trustees shall select new officers at the first meeting after each election. However, this policy also allows the Board of Trustees to reorganize at any other time it so chooses. There is merit to keeping the current officers intact through the end of the school/fiscal year.

Recommendation:

The administration recommends approval of a consent agenda motion allowing the Board of Trustees officers to remain intact, and conduct the reorganization meeting in June. Further, the motion should set June 17 as the date for the June meeting.
