Description:
This bid will establish approved vendors and pricing for the purchase of small kitchen equipment for the Food and Nutritional Services (FANS) Department. This is the first year of a renewable bid.
The specifications were formatted for a discount from manufacturer's catalog or price list. Freight will be added when pricing is requested and will be quoted separately. Pricing for this service will be added to the cost of manufacturer's discounted pricing.
Ace Mart Supply Co. requires purchase of cases only. Lack of storage areas and the additional costs of items not immediately needed inhibit most purchases of case packs. Items can be packed from 12 to 144 per case. Shepard Food Equipment has listed this requirement on ten brands and has a minimum order on eight brands. Pasco Brokerage, Inc. will break cases on all but two brands.
To maximize ordering efficiency, staff recommends awarding all responsive bidders that offered a discount from manufacturer's catalog. Staff will evaluate and compare all costs associated with each purchase to include freight, as well as the discount being offered.
