Description:

Bids for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all bids and forwarded their recommendation to Purchasing Services to be reviewed for compliance with Educational Code 44.031 and School Board Policy. This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors and pricing for Kitchen Grease, Sand, and Acid Trap Removal for Food and Nutritional Services (FANS) and other departments for Plano ISD. The City of Plano is a cooperative partner in this bid.This is the first year of a renewable bid.

The specifications stated that the bid will be awarded to a primary and secondary vendor with the intention of requesting service from the primary vendor and only requesting service from the secondary vendor as necessary due to time constraints and availability for service.

The evaluation committee performed a cost analysis based upon last year's usage of each service multiplied by the pricing submitted by each vendor. Recommendations:

Grease Trap Removal-Staff recommends Earth America as the primary vendor and Dal-Worth Industries, Inc. as the secondary vendor for Kitchen Grease Trap Removal. Earth America offered the lowest overall price based on the cost analysis.

Sand Trap Removal-Staff recommends Dal-Worth Industries, Inc. as the primary vendor and Liquid Environmental Solutions of Texas, LP as the secondary vendor. This recommendation is based on the lowest overall pricing demonstrated by cost analysis using bid pricing multiplied by the last year's service requests.

Acid Trap Removal-Staff recommends Earth America as the primary vendor and Cactus Environmental Services as the secondary vendor are recommended for Acid Trap Removal. This recommendation is based on lowest overall pricing for services.
