Description:
This Change Order reconciles the allowance balance remaining in the project. Also contributing to this final cost are sub-contract buy-out savings, reduced General Conditions costs, and a reduction in the Construction Manager's fee due to the overall reduction in cost. In addition to the cost reduction reflected here, additional improvements not originally included have been accomplished. These include paint and new acoustical panels in the Gym and a new sound system at the cafeteria/stage.
The Work of this Contract has been completed, the required closeout documentation is being completed and the Project is ready for Final Acceptance.

Recommendation:
The Administration recommends that Change Order No. 1 in the deductive amount of $8,795.00 be approved. The Architect has reviewed this Change Order and they concur with the amount. The Administration also recommends that the work for the Davis Elementary School Renovation be accepted, and that final payment, including the release of retainage, be made to The Beck Group.
