Description:

The employee benefit committee met with district staff and health care consultants on September 1, 2006, to finalize recommendations for the 2007 plan. We are extremely pleased to be able to offer employees a continuation of the current medical plan rates, along with an improved benefit for office visits. The committee offers the attached recommendations for 2007.

Recommendation:

To approve the 2007 Plano ISD Employee Health Benefit Plan, health plan document, Vision Service Plan as the vision insurance carrier, MetLife as the life insurance carrier, UNUM as the disability insurance carrier, pending contract approval by our attorneys.

Business Impact:

The $259 per employee, per month (unchanged from prior year) is included in the 2006/2007 approved budget.
