Health Benefit Plan Document - Exhibit A
In order to enable CIGNA to process medical and dental claims more promptly and accurately, many sections of the current plan document have been removed and replaced with CIGNA language, as mentioned below. Therefore, itemizing specific changes was not practical. Deletions are struck through, and new language/additions to the document are highlighted in yellow. Changes to the health plan document include:
- Update with all plan changes approved at the October 2, 2007 meeting.
- Replace language throughout the document to update to current industry standards and CIGNA Healthcare procedures, while maintaining the overall intent of the Plan. While it may appear that entire sections have been deleted, new language has been added to replace those sections.

The school district's attorney has approved all three documents.
Recommendation:
To approve the 2008 Plano ISD Employee Health and Flexible Benefit Plan Documents.
Business Impact:
The $259 per employee, per month to fund health benefits is included in the 2007/2008 approved budget.
