Description:

Competitive Sealed Proposals for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all proposals and forwarded their recommendation to the Purchasing Services Department to be reviewed for compliance with Education Code and School Board Policy. Competitive Sealed Proposals were solicited for Construction Manager at Risk for Hendrick Middle School. Proposals were received on October 4, 2007 from six construction manager firms. An Evaluation Committee consisting of representatives from Facility Planning and Construction and the Architect reviewed the submittals. Following review and discussion of the submittals, in addition to reference calls, the Evaluation Committee made its' recommendation for Cadence McShane Corporation. Summary:

The Administration recommends that the contract for construction of the Hendrick Middle School Renovation be awarded to Cadence McShane Corporation.

Estimated Value: $ 12,712,000.00. Budget/Financial Implication: 2004 Bond Funds. Evaluation Criteria: Purchase Price; Quality of Goods or Services; Vendor Reputation; Best Meets the Needs of the District.
