Description:
This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors and pricing for the purchase of plywood and lumber for the District. This is the first year of a renewable bid.
Bid notifications were sent to twenty vendors and two were received. The Facility Services Bid Committee has reviewed this bid. The Committee was satisfied with the vendor's performance with the District and confirmed that the pricing was in line with similar products purchased in the past. Staff recommends awarding each line item to the lowest bidders. Both vendors also offer a discount from catalog pricing for items not listed. Staff recommends that the discount portion be awarded to each bidder.
Recommendation:
The Administration recommends that the bid for the purchase of Plywood and Lumber be awarded to:
Craddock Lumber- Items 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 &11;
Discount Off Catalog Price
Plywood Company- Items 3 & 6
of Fort Worth; Discount Off Catalog Price
Business Impact:
Estimated Value: $110,000.00.
Budget/Financial Implication: Carpentry Supply Budget.
