3. #3764, Portable A/C rental

Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required

Time: No time limit

Description:

This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors and pricing for the rental of portable air conditioner and heating units for the District. This is the first year of a renewable bid.

This bid was sent to fifty three potential bidders. One bid was received.

The Facility Services Bid Committee has reviewed this bid. The Committee evaluated the sole bid submittal from Texas Trane. Texas Trane was awarded the rental of portable heating units on the current bid. The vendor has performed well on the existing bid as well as on all HVAC related projects they have performed for the District. Trane offers a response time of 2 hours for all deliveries.

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends that the bid for the rental of Portable A/C Units be awarded to Texas Trane.

Estimated Value: $50,000.00.
