4. #3767, Hand and power tools

Presenter: Richard Matkin

Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required

Time: No time limit

Description:

Bids for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all bids and forwarded their recommendation to the Purchasing Services Department to be reviewed for compliance with Educational Code 44.031 and School Board Policy.

This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors, catalogs, and pricing for the purchase and repair of hand and power tools for the District. This is the first year of a renewable bid.

The Facility Services Bid Committee has reviewed this bid. Bid 3767 requested catalog discounts and hourly rates for repairs for various tools or equipment. Staff recommends all of the vendors that submitted catalog and discount information be awarded. This allows staff to select the vendor offering the best value for each tool and equipment order. C & W Electric was the sole bidder for tool repairs. Staff will use cooperative bids for line items that bids were not offered.
