Description:
Proposals for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all proposals and forwarded their recommendation to Purchasing Services to be reviewed for compliance with Education Code Section 44.031 and School Board Policy.
This is a compliance proposal for the purchase of local telephone services. The services are for a five-year period.
Two proposals were received; one from AT&T and the other from Verizon. The proposals were evaluated by Technology Staff members, and Verizon was the recommended vendor. Although both companies were qualified, a cost analysis of the proposals found Verizon to offer a lower price.

Recommendation:
The Administration recommends that this proposal be awarded to Verizon.
