Each recommended purchase meets the criteria set forth in the Texas Educational Code Section 44.031 and School Board Policy. Listed below are items to be purchased, purchasing method, and estimated expenditure for the 2006-07 school year. The two selected purchasing methods are Texas Building and Procurement-Catalog Information Systems Vendor (CISV) and the Collin County Governmental Purchasing Cooperative. Both items were budgeted with 2004 bond initiative funds.

The Pathway Communications upgrade provides the ability to access video programming through our satellite dish located at Learning Media Services in the Shiloh Center. This allows teachers to remotely schedule and play video tapes, laserdiscs, and DVD's from our central digital collection located at Learning Media Services.

The McKinney Office Supply purchase is for new cubicles in the technology area of the Administrative Building.

Recommendation:
