Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required

Description:

This Localized Update represents the first of two post-legislative updates and encompasses changes in law from the 79th regular legislative session that have an immediate effect on the governance and management of the district. An appropriate motion for Board action on Localized Update 76 is as follows: "I move that the Board add, revise, or delete (LOCAL) policies as recommended by TASB Policy Service and according to the Instruction sheet for TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 76 with revisions to policies: FD(LOCAL), FDB(LOCAL) and FDD (LOCAL) ." This Update has been reviewed and approved by legal counsel. A list of the policies is attached. The actual policies may be reviewed in the Superintendent's Office.

Recommendation:

Adopt (LOCAL) policies as presented on second reading and review updated (LEGAL) policies.
