Description:
This is a compliance bid for the purchase of replacement HVAC condensing units for all District locations. This is the first year of a renewable bid.
The Facility Services Bid Committee has reviewed this bid. Their recommendation is based on the necessity to match compatibility of existing equipment with new equipment. There are many brands of HVAC equipment located in the District; Carrier, Heil, Ruud and Trane, to name a few. Staff will purchase the proper brand from the awarded vendor when a specific brand is required to match existing equipment.
The Committee recommends splitting the award between Accompany Services, Carrier North Texas, Trane and Weathertrol/Baker. Staff also recommends all of the companies that offered a discount from catalog price for items not listed.
Recommendation:
The Administration recommends that this bid be awarded to the following bidders:
Accompany Services - Items 1-11; Discount Off Catalog Price.
Carrier North Texas - Items 7-11; Discount Off Catalog Price.
Trane - Items 1-11; Discount Off Catalog Price.
Weathertrol / Baker - Items 1-11; Discount Off Catalog Price.

Estimated Value: $40,000.00.
