RESOLUTION related to the Adoption of Direct Recording Equipment –

The system must comply with state and federal laws setting the requirements for voting systems that permit voters with physical disabilities to cast a secret ballot.
ORDER and NOTICE of General Election (English and Spanish) (Two documents) -
Order for the election and Notice of the election to be held in the Plano Independent School District on Saturday, May 13, 2006, for the purpose of electing one school trustee each for positions designated as Place 6 and Place 7.
Changes to previous polling locations include:
Voters in precincts numbered 73, 88, and 115 will return to the established permanent Election Day polling location at Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church, 6000 Bentwood Trail, Dallas, 75252. Due to unavailability for the August 2004 election, these precinct voters used Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church – Harold Hall located at 6000 Jerome Trail, Dallas, 75252 (temporary polling location).
The Plano ISD will request approval from the Department of Justice to use Christ United Methodist Church, 3101 Coit Road, Plano, 75075, as an early voting location and request to establish this site as a permanent early voting location for this and all future Plano ISD elections. Haggard Library, 2501 Coit Road, Plano, 75075, was used in previous elections before it underwent construction that continued during several past elections. In addition to voters growing accustomed to voting at CUMC, it is a larger polling location and has more parking available. The distance between these locations is approximately one mile.
Murphy City Hall, 205 N. Murphy Road, Murphy, 75094, an established permanent early voting location, has relocated to 206 N. Murphy Road, Murphy, 75094 (now the Murphy Municipal Complex). The Plano ISD will request approval to use the new location as a permanent early voting location.
Voters in precincts numbered 25 and 159 previously voting at Murphy Middle School, 620 North Murphy Road, will be voting at Murphy Municipal Complex, 206 North Murphy Road. This change will allow for economic efficiency and voter convenience allowing voters in these precincts to vote at one central location. The distance between locations is approximately .4 miles.
