Description:
The District sponsors a 90-Day 457 FICA Alternative Plan through ING for the purpose of allowing employees hired after July 1, 2004 to be covered by a qualifying public retirement system during any applicable waiting period for coverage by TRS. Contributions to the plan are mandatory and equal to 7.5% of the participant's compensation. The District's legal counsel in this matter, Brennan Reilly, has prepared the plan document to provide the most benefit allowed by law to the District.
Recommendation:
Approval of the 90-Day 457 FICA Alternative Plan Document.
