Description:

Bids for the following items were advertised and received for opening in the Purchasing Department. Each recommended bid meets the criteria set forth in the Educational Code Section 44.031. All bids are reviewed by the appropriate department and recommended to the Purchasing Department for final review and compliance. This is a compliance bid that will establish an approved vendor and pricing for the maintenance and repair of District microscopes and balances. This is the first year of a renewable bid. The Science Department has reviewed the above-mentioned bid. Bid notification was sent to 52 vendors, but only one vendor responded. Midwest Bioservice has been our awarded vendor for the past six years.

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends that this bid be awarded to Midwest Bioservice.
