8. Cooperative Purchase - TASB Buy Board for Re-Roofing Project at Bowman Middle School and Forman Elem

Description:

Quotes for the following roofing projects were requested from Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Buy Board vendors. Roofing replacement projects are being initiated at multiple locations and are to be executed during the summer of 2008. These projects are being priced by the three vendors currently available on the Buy-Board. Their quotes were received by the Purchasing Department on March 20, 2008 and have been evaluated by representatives of the Architect and their Roofing Consultant, as well as representatives from Facility Services. The recommendation is based on the vendor offering the lowest price. Tab sheet is attached

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends that the projects for construction of the re-roofing projects be awarded to the roofing contractors as shown below:

Bowman Middle School - Castro Roofing- $1,986,000.00

Forman Elementary School - Benco Commercial Roofing - $828,020.00

Business Impact:

2004 bond Funds and Systems and Compliance Funds: $2,814,020.00
