Description:
Proposals for the following items were advertised, received and opened by the Purchasing Department. The Purchasing Department evaluated all Proposals for recommendation after determining that they are in compliance with Education Code 44.031 and School Board policy.
This is a compliance proposal that will establish approved vendors and discount pricing for the purchase of miscellaneous food and retail items used throughout the District. This is the first year of a renewable proposal.
The specified intent of this proposal was to enable Staff to buy various food items, retail items and items sold through discount stores to fill immediate needs of schools and departments.
Five proposals were received but one was from the Sam's Club on Spring Creek and actually covers four local Sam's facilities.
Staff recommends that all of the vendors be approved. This will allow Staff the flexibility to purchase immediate needs items from approved local vendors.
