Description:
The proposal for the following items were advertised, received and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all proposals and forwarded their recommendation to Purchasing Services to be reviewed for compliance with Education Code 44.031 and School Board policy.
This is a compliance proposal that will establish an approved vendor and pricing for the purchase of fresh bread products required throughout the District for the Food and Nutritional Services Department. This is the first year of a renewable proposal.
Request for Proposal was sent to twelve potential proposers. One proposal was received.
Staff performed a comparison study using the current contract pricing and found the pricing to be comparable. The study allowed for current increases in fuel and ingredient costs.
Sara Lee Food and Beverage has a good history and in the past has provided good service to the District.
Recommendation:
The Administration recommends this proposal be awarded to Sara Lee Food and Beverage.

Estimated Value: $150,000.00.
