10. Co-op bid, Vehicle replacements for facility services and student services

Description:

Quotes for the following items were requested from TASB Buy Board vendors. The recommended proposal meets the criteria set forth in the Educational Code Section 44.031. All proposals are reviewed by the appropriate department and recommended to the Purchasing Department for final review and compliance. Local government code, Chapter 791, enables the District to purchase goods or services through interlocal agreements. Staff determined that the Texas Association of School Boards, Buy Board, has available approved vendors for vehicles required by the Facility Services and Special Academic Services. This item was competitively bid by TASB. Staff recommends the purchase of the following vehicles: Department Number of Vehicles Type of Vehicle Cost per Vehicle Facility Services 2 ¾ Ton Pick-Up $ 16,728.00 Facility Services 14 ¾ Ton Cargo Van $ 14,447.00 Special Academic Services 1 ¾ Ton Cargo Van $ 14,447.00

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends the purchase of replacement vehicles using the TASB Buy Board Cooperative.
