Description:
Bids for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all bids and forwarded their recommendation to Purchasing Services to be reviewed for compliance with Educational Code 44.031 and School Board Policy.
This is a compliance bid that will establish an approved vendor for Milk and Dairy Products for the entire District. This is the first year of a renewable bid. Bid 2007-026 pricing will remain firm from August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008. For any additional items that may be required, samples will be requested, submitted, evaluated and approved by FANS for District usage and will be added as a part of this contract under the same terms and conditions. Estimated quantities will be provided for a negotiated price.
Bid notifications were sent to eight potential vendors and three bids were received.
The specifications state that the bid will be awarded to a sole distributor. Borden Dairy received the highest evaluation score and offered the lowest overall pricing; 26 out of 31 line items. Borden Dairy has been the District's supplier for the past several years and both their products and service have been satisfactory.
