Description:
This Change returns "Buy-Out Savings" and reconciles the allowance balance remaining in the project. A significant portion of the savings is returned from the General Conditions fund. After the start of work, Starling Richardson was able to accelerate the work in the Kitchen to summer 2006 and thereby complete the project approximately five months early. In addition to this credit, scope was also added to include a new bus turn lane on Plano Parkway, replacing the fire lane along the West side of campus, a new dumpster pad and enclosure, replace the balance of the existing toilet fixtures, and provide additional new finishes and other interior work to enhance the campus and its utilization of space.
The Work of this Contract has been completed, the required closeout documentation is being completed, and the Project is ready for Final Acceptance.

Recommendation:
The Administration recommends that Change Order No. 2 in the deductive amount of $112,577.12 be approved. The Architect has reviewed this Change Order and they concur with the amount. The Administration also recommends that the work for the Shepton High School Additions be accepted, and that final payment, including the release of retainage, be made to Starling Richardson.
