Description:

TASB’s Policy Update 78 changed the way the district manages health care for employees on temporary disability. Changes recommended to CRD(Local) reflect that district funds cannot be expended for employees on unpaid leave, unless they are on a state or federally mandated leave. Temporary disability is a state mandated leave. This policy has been reviewed and approved by legal counsel.

Recommendation:

Approve Policy CRD on first reading.
