Description:
Bids for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all bids and forwarded their recommendation to Purchasing Services to be reviewed for compliance with Educational Code 44.031 and School Board Policy.
This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors and pricing for the purchase of restroom partitions and related items for the District. This is the first year of a renewable bid.
The Facility Services Bid Committee has reviewed this bid and they recommend awarding the vendors offering the lowest pricing. Barton Edwards & Associates provided the lowest labor rate and best discount off manufacturers' catalog pricing. Barton Edwards & Associates has provided excellent service to the District on previous bids. Blue Sky Sales, Inc. was the second best responsive bidder and has also provided excellent service to the District on previous bids. The Bid Committee recommends awarding a Primary Vendor and a Secondary Vendor on the bid. Staff recommends that both vendors be awarded the discount off catalog section of the bid.
