4. Policy EIA(Local) Academic Achievement: Grading/Progress Reports to Parents - First reading

Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required

Description:

In past years interim progress reports have been issued to students in grades 3 - 5 who have had a significant drop in grades at the end of the first four weeks of each nine-week grading period. The policy is being changed to include kindergarten, first, and second grade students. Beginning in the 2006 - 2007 school year, students in grades K - 5 will be issued interim progress reports. This policy has been reviewed and approved by legal counsel.

Recommendation:

Approve EIA policy on first reading.
