Description:

Local government code, Chapter 791, enables the District to purchase goods or services through interlocal agreements. Staff determined that the Texas Association of School Boards, Buy Board, has approved vendors available for the purchase of the vehicle required by Special Academic Services. This item was competitively bid by TASB.

Special Academic Services requires a wheelchair lift equipped van for transporting special needs students to various locations. The quote includes the wheelchair lift and all of the required safety equipment.

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends the purchase of a passenger van with wheelchair lift equipment using the TASB Buy Board.
