IX. Relocation of Special Education Behavior Support Classroom Program From Hunt ES to Schell ES

Description:
Hunt Elementary School is continuing to grow, and as of April 25, 2008 has 674 students. By relocating the Special Education BSC (Behavior Support Classroom) Program to Schell Elementary School, the district will eliminate the need for portables at Hunt Elementary School for the 2008-09 school year.
Schell Elementary School currently has room for this program as their growth has stabilized.
Projections for Schell Elementary School are:
2008-09 - 600 students
2009-10 - 613 students
2010-11 - 610 students
2011-12 - 604 students
2012-13 - 615 students
Recommendation:
The administration recommends approval of relocation of the Special Education BSC Program from Hunt Elementary School to Schell Elementary School effective the beginning of the 2008-09 school year.
