Description:
This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors and pricing for the purchase of HVAC water treatment chemicals and services for the District. This is the first year of renewable bid.
Facility Services and Purchasing Services have reviewed the above-referenced bid. Staff recommends awarding the bidder that offered the lowest labor rate. Garratt-Callahan Co. submitted the lowest labor rate. They will base all their chemical prices on the State Of Texas TXMAS contract for HVAC water treatment chemicals, which they were awarded in January 2008. Facility Services contacted the references for Garratt-Callahan Co., and they were all positive.
Recommendation:
The administration recommends that this bid be awarded to Garratt-Callahan Co.
Business Impact:
HVAC Water Treatment Budget-$80,000.00
