3. #3750, CCTV installations - new construction and renovations
Presenter: Richard Matkin
Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required
Time: No time limit
Description:
This is a compliance proposal that will establish approved vendors and pricing for the purchase of closed circuit camera systems for buildings under construction or renovation. This is the first year of a renewable proposal.
Security Systems Staff has reviewed this proposal. Staff recommends awarding the vendors, who were compliant with the proposal specification. The proposal required the vendors to submit itemized pricing on specific brands and models of equipment that must match existing equipment or systems. Four of the ten vendors did not provide pricing on the specified equipment. Sigma Surveillance provided itemized pricing on alternate equipment, which did not meet the proposal specification. The specification states the term of the proposal will be for one year, but Dallas Security Systems could not meet this requirement. Staff recommends awarding the proposal to the four compliant vendors. This will allow staff to order efficiently by selecting the firm and pricing that best meets the needs of each project.
