Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required

Time: No time limit

Description:

Bids for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all proposals and forwarded their recommendation to Purchasing Services to be reviewed for compliance with Educational Code 44.031 and School Board Policy.

This is a compliance bid that will establish an approved vendor and pricing for the purchase of on-site cabling support services for the District. This is the first year of a renewable bid.

The Technical Support Selection Committee has reviewed this bid. The Committee ranked the responsive bidders according to the Committee's evaluation criteria. Able Communications was ranked highest based on the evaluation criteria. Staff is satisfied with the excellent service provided by Able Communications on the previous bid. The quality of their installations has been very good. Their technicians are well known among District personnel and have a thorough working knowledge of the District's sites, policies, and procedures.

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends that the bid for the purchase of on-site cabling support be awarded to Able Communications Inc.
