Description:
This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors and pricing for the purchase of rebuilding and servicing alternators and starters for Plano ISD vehicles. This is the first year of a renewable bid.
The Purchasing Services Department received one bid for this solicitation. Alternator Service has been a valued vendor for alternator/starter servicing for several years. Alternator Service is a firm that has been in business for many years; is a factory authorized rebuilder; and has been a very reliable supplier. The Transportation Department recommends awarding this bid to Alternator Service. They have a history of performing and conducting business in a professional and timely manner.
Recommendation:
The Administration recommends that this bid be awarded to Alternator Service.
