h. TEA Waivers for Modified Schedule/TAKS Testing Days and Textbooks

Description:

The district is requesting the following waivers from TEA for Modified Schedule/TAKS Testing which allows districts to modify the schedule of classes on TAKS testing days during the current school year to reduce interruptions during testing periods; and Textbook Waivers which allow some state reimbursement funds for Proclamation 1997 for remedial reading grade 6 and Proclamation 2004 for IB mathematics textbooks not available in the adoption processes.

Recommendation:

Approve waiver request to TEA.
