Plano ISD Academy Visioning Committee
The Academy Visioning Committee was created by the Plano ISD Board of Trustees to study and advise the feasibility of creating a Grades 9-12 option for students that offers choices for programs not currently available in the comprehensive high schools and senior high schools.
Plano Academies to Open in 2013
Plano ISD is excited to introduce three very distinct student choice programs scheduled to be available for ninth and tenth grade students for the 2013-14 school year. Enrollment will grow to include eleventh and twelfth grade students in subsequent years. Visit the Academy Programs of Plano website.

November 1, 2011 - Texas Instruments corporate sponsorship agreement for Plano ISD's first academy was approved by the Plano ISD Board of Trustees. The district will receive one million dollars per year for five years through the partnership with TI.
