Applying for a teaching position with Plano ISD is a two part process:

1.   Completing the TeacherInsight Interview
2.   Completing the Online Application

Only files that have both the completed Teacher Insight Interview and online employment application can be considered for interviews by principals.

Every person who wishes to serve as a District employee, volunteer, camp counselor, private teacher or contractor, or any other person who will have contact with District students shall have a criminal history search performed. More information

TeacherInsight Interview

The website for the teacher insight interview is https://gx.gallup.com/teacherinsight.gx You will need to reserve at least 45 minutes to take this multiple choice and free response instrument; there are no right or wrong answers. Please read the instructions carefully before beginning (answers are timed).

If you have completed the teacher insight interview with another entity, please transfer the information to Plano ISD by going to the above website and entering our district code number. The code number to access or to transfer the interview online is 4534.

Plano ISD offers an innovative online employment application process that will track your application and alert you via e-mail regarding your application status. You will be able to update your account using a password-protected login process. Select the link below to apply.

Plano ISD Online Employment Application

A completed file consists of:

• A completed application
• Completed Teacher Insight Interview

Applications will be entered in the district's database.  The HR Services staff, principals and other administrators will review applications. This review will be based on need and anticipated vacancies.

As vacancies occur, administrators will have the applicant database available to them to review applicants to consider for interviews. The administrator exercises his/her discretion in determining which applicants to contact. The database is large. We try to interview as many applicants as possible; however, not all applicants are interviewed. Interviews are contingent upon vacancies and need. Applicants are welcome to send a letter of interest and resume to the administrators.

Job applicants may take advantage of a computer kiosk located at the Plano ISD Administration Building, human resources department, to complete the required online application and receive staff assistance.
