New Substitutes Fingerprinting Instructions
The 80th Texas Legislature passed SB 9, which mandated the Texas Education Agency (TEA)/SBEC to acquire criminal history reports on: (1) all certified educators who are currently employed, (2) all substitutes, and (3) non-certified employees hired after January 1, 2008. In addition, SB 9 created a criminal history clearinghouse to facilitate access to criminal history information and provide updates on any subsequent criminal history activity.
You are currently in the Plano ISD database to become a substitute for the
2010 - 2012 school year upon completion of the required fringerprinting.
- If you were identified in your email as a Certified Substitute
Print the Certified Substitute Letter and the Fingerprint Certification Form
- If you were identified in your email as a Non-Certified Substitute
Print the Non-Certified Substitute Letter and the Fingerprint Certification Form
Specific adherence to the instructions is imperative to minimize any problems or delay in your acceptance to the district. You will not be eligible to attend a Substitute New Hire Meeting until this process is completed.

When you receive your orientation date, print and bring the following forms to the orientation meeting. Substitute New Hire Packet including the I-9 form , W-4 form Direct Deposit enrollment form and Policy Acknowledgment Calling System Instructions
