Substitute Information
Thank you for your interest in substituting for Plano Independent School District.
A Bachelors degree is required for substitute teaching position. Preference is given to certified teachers. A high school diploma is required for all non-teaching (paraprofessional) substitute positions. Substitute nurses must be a graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, have valid RN licenses, BLS CPR/AED certification and two years nursing experience.
Plano ISD offers an online employment application process using the TEAMS software. Please allow yourself at least two hours to complete the online-application and Teacher Insight Interview 2.0. Substitutes will be selected based on the needs of the district. If you are selected to become a substitute you will be notified by a Human Resources representative.
If you are not selected school year and you are still interested in substitute employment with Plano ISD you may update your online application in July 2012.
