We are no longer accepting substitute applications for the 2007-2008 School Year.
Thank you for your interest in serving as a substitute for Plano ISD.
As of Monday, June 2, 2008 all substitute applications received will be processed for the 2008-2009 school year.
Becoming a Substitute
- Complete an online application

- Bring all required documents to the Plano ISD HR Services-Substitute Office, 2700 W 15th St , Plano, Tx. Applicants with a university located outside of the US must have degree transcripts evaluated by an accredited international degree equivalency evaluator
and meet current criteria for substitute position.
- The Plano ISD will complete a background check.
- Reference forms must be completed and returned to HR Services Substitute office. (Print 3 reference forms
and have work references complete and return to Human Resources)
- Once you have submitted your reference letters, transcripts/high school diploma to Human Resources and a your completed application has been accepted and processed, a notification letter will be mailed with information about the next scheduled orientation meeting.
- Attend the 4 hour mandatory substitute orientation meeting. Print and bring to the orientation meeting the completed new hire substitute forms in the Substitute New Hire Packet
including the I-9 form , W-4 form and Direct Deposit enrollment form .
