Student Discovers Prehistoric
Fish on Plano West Senior High Campus
A
Hurricane Katrina evacuee enrolled at Plano West Senior High School
and his biology teacher discovered what students have affectionately
named "X-fish" - a prehistoric
"Xiphactinus audax" - on the school grounds. Excavation
of the fossil has been a community affair, teaming a diverse group
of students and adults.

Meeting on 'Key School' Initiatives
The school board will host
a town hall meeting from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday,
March 13, at Weatherford Elementary School, 2941 Mollimar
Drive. Principal Arron Moeller and his staff will update
the community on "Key School" initiatives
at Weatherford.
