Katrina Student Discovers Prehistoric
Fish on Plano West Senior High Campus

A Hurricane Katrina evacuee enrolled at Plano West Senior High School and his biology teacher discovered what students have affectionately named "X-fish" - a prehistoric "Xiphactinus audax" - on the school grounds. Excavation of the fossil has been a community affair, teaming a diverse group of students and adults.
