'Symphony of Brotherhood' Theme
for January 19 MLK Tribute Event

Hundreds of students representing diverse cultures and ethnicity will be featured speakers and performers at Plano ISD's Martin Luther King, Jr., Tribute to be held from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2006, at Plano Centre. Other citywide tributes will include a parade, community celebration, power breakfast, and youth leadership forum. read

Dec. 5 Town Meeting on 'Key Schools'

The school board invites our community to a town hall meeting to be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, December 5, at Rasor Elementary School, whose staff will present initiatives in the areas of curriculum, staffing, technology and policies designed to improve student learning and close the achievement gap. read

Save the Date...Ski Plano 2006!

Bundle up in your favorite ski apparel and join the Plano ISD Education Foundation at its annual Ski Plano! fundraising gala. On Saturday, February 4, 2006, Southfork Ranch will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with virtual skiing, dinner, music, auctions, and the popular "luck of the draw" and "avalanche snow ball drop" activities. Event proceeds benefit Plano ISD students and teachers. read
