Free Online SAT Prep Course

Senior high school students have free access to The College Board’s online SAT prep course. The program consists of practice tests, tutorials, and online essay scoring. Juniors and seniors may obtain information about the course from their counselors.

Retired Plano ISD Counselor Dr. Myrtle Hightower was honored by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Otto, before 1,000 students, mentors and educators who attended Plano ISD's February 2 Mentor Celebration, "Under Construction: Building Futures." Dr. Hightower was honored as a "2005 State Hero for Children" and for her vision in developing early mentor programs.

Employee Survey Indicates Need
for PISD-Sponsored Child Care Services

Nearly 85 percent of Plano ISD employees who responded to a recent survey said that they would enroll their child in district-sponsored child care. See our website for survey results and information about district plans to open a child care center in 2007. read

  • adopted 2006-07 School Calendar
  • adopted Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) Report
  • approved $6.3 million agreement with AT&T for wide-area network electronics, maintenance and monitoring
  • changed attendance schedule to 12:30 p.m. for seniors on days juniors take TAKS tests: Feb. 21 and April 21, 24 and 25
  • approved all Consent Agenda items
