Plano Senior High School Teammates
Win State Academic Decathlon Championship

The Plano Senior High School Academic Decathlon Team captured the state championship this past weekend. Students earned more than $23,000 in scholarships and numerous individual and team medals at the rigorous academic event. PSHS will represent Texas at the National Academic Decathlon competition to be held in late April in San Antonio. Plano East and Plano West teams also put forth astounding effort at the state meet. School District Invites Community to March 1 Dedication of Cox Building & Historic Classroom

Girls on School BusTake a ride down memory lane with the Plano ISD Historical Classroom Committee and City of Plano officials, as they dedicate the renovated Cox Building in Downtown Plano this Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. More than 100 years of educational excellence in Plano schools will be celebrated at the March 1 event as Plano ISD and the City dedicate the historic building and its classroom museum. read

March 2 Elementary School Open Houses

Come discover how our elementary school students are "Driven to Succeed," during open houses scheduled this Thursday, March 2, at each of our 42 elementary schools. Faculty, staff and students will host open houses in conjunction with the statewide celebration of Texas Public Schools Week. read

March 3 Early Release Day

Schools will release students early on Friday, March 3, according to the following schedule:

Early Childhood Schools - no afternoon classes
Elementary Students - 12:00 p.m.
Middle School Students - 12:40 p.m.
High/Senior High School Students - 1:20 p.m.

Recruitment Open House Pre-Registration

February 28 is the deadline to pre-register for Plano ISD's Recruitment Open House. Administrators representing every campus in Plano ISD will be present to meet and talk with you about teaching opportunities at the open house to be held on March 18. All certified teachers, administrators, librarians and counselors are encouraged to pre-register online.read

Student Grades & Attendance Online

Secondary schools issued report cards for students in grades 9-12 on February 24. Parents may view their child's grades and attendance on our convenient ParentViewer website.
2006-07 Calendar Update

School trustees have amended the 2006-07 Calendar, changing the "Professional Development Day / Student Holiday" to Monday, February 19, 2007. The original date of February 12 conflicted with state TAKS testing. View the 2006-07 Calendar on our website.
