Deputy
Superintendent Retiring
After 37 Years in Public Education
Deputy Superintendent of Schools Danny Modisette will
retire in June, 2007, following 37 years of service to public
education.
Completing his career in what he says is "the best
job in Texas,"
Mr. Modisette will focus on opportunities to work with
school districts and advocate for public education.
Superintendent
of Schools Dr. Doug Otto announced today the placement
of two staff members to the vacant positions of area
assistant superintendent. Roxanne Burleson, Vines
High School principal, and Mike Collinsworth, Renner
Middle School principal, have been named area assistant
superintendents for the central and east cluster
schools, respectively.

state-mandated TAKS tests April 16 week. Plano counselors
share tips for helping students relieve test anxiety
and prepare well for test-taking days.

ISD Recruitment Open House
Plano ISD's 13th Annual Teacher Recruitment Open
House broke attendance records, welcoming more than
1,000 "Highly Qualified" teacher applicants.
Administrators from Plano ISD's 67 schools were on
hand to interview candidates.
