and Secondary Teachers of the Year, awarded at the May 10 Teacher
of the Year Gala, "Night of a Thousand
Stars: On the Red Carpet," held at Plano Centre and co-produced
by Plano ISD and AXA
Equitable.
Nearly
1,400 educators, sponsors, PTA leaders, elected officials and
other dignitaries attended the event.

Aldridge
Elementary School Third Grade Team Leader Beth Hubbard believes
that students who enter her classroom deserve a
chance to excel in their unique talents.
"I help my students find their talents and encourage
them to develop all of their talents," she said. "Everyone
has goals for the future, and with a support
team, a chance and high expectations, I hope to help
my students achieve their dreams."

High School's Algebra Team Leader Patt Henry teaches
her students to use their brains before their pencils,
to think logically, to look
at an answer and decide if it is reasonable, then try another
method if it is not. "As I watch them struggle and finally
succeed, I realize that all my learned knowledge means little
in comparison
to what my students teach me about how they learn each day."
