Superintendent
of Schools Dr. Doug Otto shared his dream with 7,000 employees,
during his annual back-to-school Convocation keynote
address.
"My
dream is that EVERY child who comes through our doors -
rich, poor, young
or old
-
will achieve his or her dreams. Plano ISD will be the
school system to reach that goal."
At Convocation, and on the first
day of school, our faculty, staff and students shared
their dreams for the future.
"I
dream that Mitchell Elementary students
are respectful citizens, because education isn't practice
for
life...It is
life.
I also dream that I will be a light for future educators."
Linda Patrick, principal, presented school spirit pencils
to fourth grade students of Team Leader
Molly
McCreary.
"Our
dream is that Saigling Elementary School is 'positively'
the best. Our faculty and staff are studying Ken Blanchard's
book 'Whale Done,' which promotes positive behavior
reinforcement. The students already love the theme."
