Teacher Grant Applications for 2006
Teachers may apply
online through September 15 for grants to be awarded
by the Plano ISD Education Foundation. Grants will
fund initiatives with emphasis on closing the student
achievement gap.

National
PTA's Back-to-School Webcast
On August 10, the National PTA’s "Back-to-School
Media Briefing" will be shared through a live
webcast from New York Public Library. The event will
provide the latest information on education, technology,
family and parenting issues through 30-minute sessions
conducted by leading experts.

10 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PTA will release
results of new research and discuss:
- Parenting the MySpace generation,
- Pressures on parents today,
- “State of the union” on school wellness
and children’s fitness,
- Classroom to work preparedness, and

Plano
ISD announces PayPAMS (Parent
Account Management System).
This new
system will replace ePay for online payment of school meals,
athletic fees and fare busing. PASAR after-school care fees
will continue to be paid online via ePay. Follow this link
for a district message about the new PayPAMS tool.
Real-time
student attendance records and grades are now available online.
