AVID Student

AVID College-Readiness Program Launches in Nine Plano Schools

Targeting students in the "academic middle," Plano ISD's AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program launched this school year in nine middle schools and high schools. Site teams are supporting 420 students in the research-based, in-school academic support program which focuses on students' college readiness and future success. read

'Superior Achievement' Financial Rating

For the third consecutive year, Plano ISD has captured a "Superior Achievement" rating in the state's Schools FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) system based upon financial data.read

   
Student Taking Test

Sept. 9 PSAT/SAT Practice Test

Plano West Band Boosters and Princeton Review will sponsor a PSAT/SAT practice test from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on September 9. The $12 registration fee includes a strategy session on September 14 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Tests will be administered at Plano West Senior High, 5601 W. Parker Road. School Board Update

The Plano ISD School Board will conduct a business meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, at the Plano ISD Administration Building, 2700 W. 15th Street, to act upon adoption of several consent agenda items, district policies and the following items.
