National Merit Semifinalists!
Superintendent of Schools Dr.
Doug Otto is proud to announce that 115 senior students, the
largest number in the district’s history, have earned
Semifinalist standing in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
"This is another measure that shows the work of our students,
teachers, parents and educational programs is a successful
combination that enables our students to excel at high levels."

School Students Invited
to 'Major Mania' September 19
All Plano high school
students are invited to attend Major Mania at Plano
West Senior High School on September 19. University
professors will present information about several
college majors.
The Plano West Marching Band will hold its first-annual
march-a-thon on Saturday, September 16, to raise
funds for scholarships, equipment and clinicians.
The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. from the school
parking lot and proceed through neighboring residential
areas and retail establishments. For a $50 donation,
the band will perform a mini-concert in your front
yard along with a Wolf Pack Cheer in honor of you

Plano International Festival Corporation will host
the Second Annual Plano International Festival on
October 21 in Downtown Plano. Participant applications
for booths, international fashion show, cultural
displays and a parade of nations may be found online
